Today I established bins to sort items for the STR recycling programs. I did this with various materials I had lying around the house. Easy, free, and FUNctional! (Yup, I had FUN doing this! Oh the frugal recycler in me!) I've included pics of how I did one to help you get yours together at your house! (and school, and church, and work, and library, and local salon, and community group meeting, or wherever you place yours to collect the most!) I say, get the kids involved! They are great at this project! Also, I should mention, mine is for home use. For public I would cover the entire box in plastic, make the signs bigger and add my 'all recycling goes to benefit STR' sign. Here's some tips direct from Terracycle on your container set up: 3.
